:: Orientation volunteers needed

Orientation check-in is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2. The Office of Community Life needs faculty/staff volunteers to help with moving students into North Hall and manning tables at South Hall in the Herndon Gallery.

Anyone who can help out for any part of the day would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Louise Smith at to volunteer.

:: New student barbecue

ALL faculty and staff are welcome at the barbecue for new students and their parents at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, in the tent on Main Lawn.

Please come out and introduce yourself to our newcomers and their families.

:: IMPORTANT payroll reminder for faculty & staff

As we leave ADP as our payroll provider this week, your September 28 pay will be a live check and NOT direct-deposited. This is very important to remember!

Your first pay from Paycor will be direct-deposited into the account we have on file, beginning with the October 12 pay.

If you have any questions about payroll or insurance, please see Tom Brookey.

:: New accounting procedures

As Scott Frasure explained at last week’s Community Meeting, there is a new account structure and a new “Payment by Check Request” procedure. These are to be used as of October 1. For access to the appropriate forms, contact Stacie Haley at

Stacie will conduct two trainings for anyone who would like to learn more. They are scheduled for:

  • Tuesday, September 25, at 1:00 p.m. in the Blum Room
  • Thursday, September 27, at 10:00 a.m. in the Blum Room

If you cannot attend one of these trainings and need assistance please contact Stacie.

:: First Aid/CPR training

The College has scheduled a First Aid/CPR training on Wednesday, September 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you would like to participate in this training please e-mail Reggie Stratton at to get enrolled.

:: Yellow Springs Street Fair announcement

Antioch College is the premier sponsor of the Yellow Springs Street Fair on Saturday, October 13. Do your part and volunteer for a shift to man the Antioch College booth!

Just like the past few years, each shift will be 30 minutes. The fair begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. PLEASE sign up, via e-mail, to Ashley Couch at as soon as possible.
