:: Welcome Back! lunch TODAY

Faculty, staff, and all returning students are invited to a Welcome Back! lunch in the North Hall dining hall from noon to 1:00 p.m. today. Welcome the Class of 2015 back on campus after their national co-ops.

:: Co-op Swap

Attention students! Today in McGregor 113, 1:00–4:00 p.m., bring your co-op experience back to the community in any form you so chose to share: slide slam, show and tell, or just talking about it. Students, faculty, and staff are invited and welcome.

:: Changes to FY13 Chart of Accounts file

Attention faculty and staff: Stacie Haley has made some significant changes to the FY13 Chart of Accounts file that is on the AC Drive. Please make sure that you are using the latest chart, not an older version. Thanks.

:: Employee Handbook information

Message from Tom Brookey: In an effort to ensure that everyone has read and understands the Employee Handbook, three forms (taken from the back of the handbook) will be provided with your next pay stubs for you to sign.

Rather than your pay stubs being in your mailboxes this week, please pick them up from Joan Meadows in the President’s Office to sign these forms. For more information, contact Tom Brookey.

:: Chat & Chew is Friday

In an effort to improve internal communication, celebrate successes, address challenges, prepare for the site visit, and have a little fun, we have implemented a monthly all-employee meeting. Known as First Friday Chat and Chew, the events will be held on the first Friday of each month (except for April 12) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in McGregor 113. The College will provide lunch for all faculty and staff in attendance.

:: Friday Forum: Innovations in Education

This Friday at 7:30 p.m., join us in the Coretta Scott King Center for the next Friday Forum, “Innovations in Education.”

In a rapidly changing world, pedagogy must change just as rapidly. As we begin a new academic quarter at Antioch, our panelists will discuss the unique tools and methods they use to instruct their students and bridge classroom learning and real life experiences. For more information, contact Derrick Weston.

:: Theatre Outing: Race by David Mamet

Attention students! On Saturday, 6:30–10:30 p.m., Community Life will be sponsoring a theatre outing to Human Race Theatre in downtown Dayton to see the production of Race.

No stranger to divisive topics or candid conversation, Pulitzer Prize-winning David Mamet takes on the explosive subject of race relations in Race. When two cynical lawyers—one black and one white— prepare to defend a powerful white businessman accused of raping a young black woman, they must confront their own perceptions and prejudices. Legal and ethical lines are crossed as shocking revelations come to light. But when their client’s case takes a series of unexpected turns, they realize that not everyone is who they seem in this world of shame and guilt. There are 10 tickets available. Sign up with RLMs in advance.

:: Antioch College Menu and Dining Hall information

Antioch College Menu and Dining Hall information

The North Hall Dining Room opens at 12:00 p.m. and we serve until lunch until 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We ask that faculty, staff, and visitors offer $5.00, paid via the “honor system,” to a deposit safe located near the front entrance of the dining room. We also ask that shoes and shirts be worn in the dinning room at all times and that food not be taken “to-go” unless you are unable to join us for a meal during the established meal time. Thank you!
