Virginia H. Beardsley, age 91, of Dayton died August 17, 2013. Virginia was born April 9, 1922 in St. Augustine, Florida to Daisy E. and Frederick A. Henderich, and was a friend of Glen Helen. She and Lt. Carl F. Riedmiller met during WWII and were married in 1944 in Melbourne, Florida. When the war ended they moved to Dayton, Ohio where they raised their family. Carl died in 1987. Virginia was remarried in 1990, to Harrison T. Beardsley of Moraga, California, which is where they made their home. They were divorced in 2007 and Virginia moved back to Dayton. Virginia had a love of life and enjoyed nature. She was an avid reader and an accomplished Chinese brush painter. Her sense of humor made her a fun companion to her many friends and family. Virginia is predeceased by two of her four children: C. Frederick Riedmiller of Loveland, Ohio and Michael E. Riedmiller of Arlington, Virginia. She is survived by Sally R. Greene (John) of Anacortes, WA. and David D. Riedmiller of Dayton. She has two grandsons: Jason Riedmiller and Joshua Riedmiller and four great-grandchildren: Julia, Kate, JD and Elena.
