Adolphus Hunter, Jr., a lifelong resident of Washington, DC, passed away on December 24, 2010. He was born in Winston-Salem, NC and graduated from Winston-Salem State University. Later, he moved to Washington, DC and worked as an educator in DC Public School system for 31 years. He received a MA from Antioch College in 1972. Adolphus also worked for the DC Department of Parks and Recreation. He is survived by his daughter, Kiawanta Hunter-Keiser; a brother and three sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to Mr. Hunter's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon, Hill, MD on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 5 p.m. until a Memorial Service at 6 p.m.
