Eberhart, Cathy 67 Dec. 09, 1945 Oct. 09, 2013 Cathy was born Dec. 9, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Rosalind Mirsky '48 and Noah Krall, M.D. Cathy graduated from Sunset High School in Beaverton in 1963 and received a B.A. from Antioch College in 1968. While studying in Germany, she met and married Stefan Eberhart in 1968. Cathy received an M.A. in 1981 and a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Education, cum laude, in 1993, from Heidelberg University. Her thesis, on Jane Addams, was written in German. She became v.p. of Academic Affairs for Schiller International University, also serving as provost and as interim president. Cathy served as chair of the board of the Volunteers of America of Florida. She spoke French and German, traveled widely, loved classical music, read avidly and loved cats. In 1995, Cathy and Stephan moved to Florida, where Stefan died in 2005 after a long illness. In 2009, Cathy became v.p. of Academic Affairs at Potomac College in Washington, D.C. After retiring in 2011, she returned to Portland. She succumbed to cancer Oct. 9, 2013. She was adored by her siblings, Deborah Krall '71, Michael Krall '74, M.D. (Kathy), and Rebecca Krall Weggler (Chaz); stepsisters, Vicki Lind, Dr. Donna Lind Infeld (Marcel) and Joanne Phillipson; as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins. She is greatly missed.
