Carl Herman Press III died April 7, 2013, after a long illness. Born in Cincinnati on June 6, 1948, he attended Antioch College, and in 1970 went to Denmark, birthplace of his grandfather. He settled in Copenhagen where he worked as a writer, director, actor, puppeteer, and puppetmaker for nearly 40 years. He received Denmark's highest performing arts prize, a Reumert. Preceding him in death are his parents, Carl and Ruth. He is survived by his wife, Eva; brother, Christopher (Tina), Findlay, Ohio, their daughters, Sr. Kathryn, ASCJ, St. Louis, and Ellen, Pittsburgh; his son, Niklas (Jill) and their children, Oscar and Noah, Copenhagen.
