Benjamin Lechtman Milk '61

Benjamin Lechtman Milk '61 of Rockville, Maryland died at Montgomery Hospice on Friday, April 4, 2014 surrounded by his loving family after a valiant six-month battle with brain cancer. Milk had retired as Executive Vice President of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses. He previously served as Executive Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission and Executive Vice President of Youth for Understanding. A graduate of Antioch College, Milk received a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. Milk is survived by his wife, Leslie Berg Milk; his brother, Richard Milk; his children, Meredith Milk (Tony Zaslav) and Jeremy Milk (Christina Woo); and his grandchildren, Drew Zaslav, Trey Zaslav, Kaya Milk and Kaeden Milk. A Memorial Service will be held at Temple Beth Ami, 14330 Travillah Road, Rockville on Tuesday, April 8 at 11 a.m. Interment private. The family will observe Shiva at the home of Meredith Milk and Tony Zaslav on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Foundation for Group Homes (JFGH.org) or Montgomery Hospice
