Harlem String Quartet

The Harlem Quartet represents the Sphinx Organization, founded 15 years ago in Detroit to foster interest and excellence in classical music among black and Hispanic youth. They have programmed works by a Spanish composer, Joaquin Turina; two African-American composers, Wynton Marsalis and Allen McCullough; and Schubert’s immortal “Death and the Maiden—quartet. Tickets: $10 for adults; $5 for students. Antioch College faculty, staff, and students receive free admission.
