YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio – November 1, 2010 – Stacey Wirrig ‘98 has been hired full time as the new assistant director of advancement/director of alumni relations at Antioch College.
Wirrig is responsible for providing strategic direction for all aspects of the alumni relations program in partnership with the Alumni Association and with peers on the College’s advancement management team.
Part of Wirrig’s work will also include working with the Office of Communications on a number of projects, including the electronic newsletter, The Independent, and the print magazine, The Antiochian. She will also provide content for the Alumni website as well as social media outlets.
Previously, Wirrig was a development coordinator at the Colorado Coalition Against Domestic Violence, where she created, developed and implemented a fund-raising plan that including worksite giving, direct mail campaigns and individual donor, corporate and foundation giving.
Later, she served as shelter director at Alternatives to Family Violence, a 24-hour shelter and counseling program with 21 beds. In addition to supervising 10 direct-report staff and relief personnel, Wirrig served as staff liaison to the board of directors and oversaw strategic planning, development and fiscal management.
She returned to the college in November 2009 as a volunteer to the advancement office and later joined the staff as a part-time assistant to Alumni Relations. In early fall of 2010, she was appointed a special assistant to the president for alumni relations.
Wirrig earned a bachelor’s degree in women's studies and journalism at Antioch College.
