YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio - July 26, 2010 - We invite ideas and submissions for the fall 2010 edition of The Antiochian. To appear in the issue, please send query or manuscript before August 30, 2010. Here are some of the ways you can contribute.
Letters: Letters should be no longer than 150 words, must refer to an article that has appeared in The Antiochian or The Independent, and must include the writer's full name, class year (if applicable), and city/state of residence. No attachments, please. We do not publish anonymous letters.
Class Notes: Tell us about new jobs, awards, or major life changes that other Antiochians may find interesting. Limit to 75 words.
Essays: Send shorter first- or third-person essays on topics with an Antioch College connection (650 words). For longer essays, send us a one-paragraph query describing the piece and why you’re the best person to write it.
News Features: Feature articles should have broad, general appeal. We’re interested in stories that are timely, well-written, and engaging. The subject may vary. Query first.
Alumni Profiles: If your story is much bigger than a Class Note, or you know of an Antiochian with an amazing personal history, query with your pitch.
Photographs and Illustrations: Any image from anywhere in the world. (Please note that The Antiochian will not publish images that depict graphic violence or graphic nudity)
