The Herndon Gallery will host the 35th Annual Women’s Voices Out Loud exhibition and performance in the month of March. This is an event with a long and beloved history in the Village of Yellow Springs that invites women and women-identified persons to present visual art and performance. The exhibition will run from March 4 through March 28. Twenty seven women responded to the call for work, with forty two pieces on exhibition. There is a wide range of media represented, from fabric, painting, photography, mixed media, drawing, and installation. Noteworthy in the show is Woman, an eight-foot tall figurative piece made of earthen plaster on board is on display, submitted as a collaboration between Kaethe Siedl Beth Holyoke. Antioch student, Katie Olsen, is presenting a large canvas floor piece painted with a red ball gown which accompanies the canvas. Janeal Ravendal submitted large colorful collages made on shopping bags.
