Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Dr. Barbara Sanborn joins the faculty of Antioch College from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where she was previously a visiting assistant professor in mathematics. Sanborn earned her doctorate in mathematics from Arizona State University in 2011 and also holds a doctorate in physics from SUNY Stony Brook. From 2008 to 2012, Sanborn was a mathematics instructor at Western Washington University. Her other professional and community service includes a stint in the Peace Corps in West Africa and time spent as a land conservationist in Washington. Her current interests include understanding global climate change, renewable energy sources, and education for sustainable life on Earth.
