Student Tutor-Mentor

Summary of Position: Student Tutor-Mentors will be responsible for assisting their peers in specified subject areas as well as in other areas related to improving academics.  Will be supervised by the Center for Academic Support Services. 

 

Responsibilities:  Schedule meetings with peers on campus.  Maintaining personal schedule and responding to tutor- mentoring requests within 24 business hours of receiving them. Submitting accurate tutoring/time sheets that are reflective of the services provided.  Student Tutor- Mentors should be willing to share study habits/techniques with students they tutor as well as any other advice or encouragement that could help the student succeed.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications: Must have taken the course for which you wish to tutor at Antioch College.  Student Tutor-Mentors must have a recommendation from a faculty member who teaches the course that the tutor wishes to tutor for.  Additionally, Student Tutor-Mentors must be in good academic standing with a GPA or 3.0 or above.
