Property Management - Maintenance

Summary of Position:  The Property Management Staff is responsible for the routine custodial work in all campus buildings, including academic buildings and dormitories, in accordance with regular and periodic maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various types of maintenance with varying degrees of difficulty on buildings, including, but not limited to: masonry, carpentry, flooring, plumbing and electrical
  • Provide assistance with cost efficiencies and utility audits
  • Perform preventative maintenance as directed
  • Conduct regular inspections in facilities
  • Snow removal for all campus drives, parking areas, mowing and trimming of campus grounds, and campus beautification
  • Other duties are required as the need arises

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment, including carpentry tools, lawn equipment and pickup truck (valid drivers license necessary)
  • Ability to work in a college environment where staff, students, parents and alumni are regularly present
  • Ability to work side-by-side  with student workers, volunteers and friends of the college
  • Able to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Demonstrated ability of respect for individuals and community
  • Demonstrate integrity and commitment to learning
  • Demonstrated value for community and diversity
